Frequently Asked Questions
What Exactly is The Sanctum of the Spirit?
Often called The Sanctum, for short, this supernatural facility is an educational campus for young people who have been blessed with various spiritual gifts. Certain students are invited to attend The Sanctum to learn how to hone and use these gifts to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.
is The Sanctum of the Spirit Biblical?
Absolutely! Every book in the series is and will be filled with Scripture. The supernatural events that occur or that are mentioned in the books all have Biblical precedents. The Sanctum itself is not factual, but it is symbolic. Readers should view it the same way they view their own churches, as what is possible at The Sanctum should be possible in our houses of worship today.
Where Does it Talk about spiritual gifts in the Bible?
1 Corinthians 12 and 14 have a lot of information about spiritual gifts. You can also find verses discussing them in Romans 12, 1 Peter 4, and Ephesians 4. However, our favorite verse is Acts 1:8, which promises that when the Holy Spirit came, we would receive power.
Spiritual gifts aren’t weird. They’re amazing! And we should be celebrating them!
Who is this series written for?
The Sanctum of the Spirit series is written for…YOU!
Everyone – young and old – will enjoy reading these books. The main characters are young people ages 14 to 18, but only because that’s the age you need to be to receive training at The Sanctum. The books do contain some references that may be too mature for anyone under the age of 13. However, you won’t find any swearing or sex in these pages. We promise.
How come there's no dragon? I thought you had to have a dragon for an epic adventure.
Dragons are neat. But they’re not real. Let’s be honest. The Sanctum of the Spirit is NOT a fantasy series. Though some find that hard to believe.
Don’t worry, though. There are other things you can read and watch that have plenty of dragons. Do they honor God, though? That’s the question.
Besides, this series is proof that you DON’T need a dragon to have an EPIC adventure!
